Sic aluminis genus, in capillamenta quaedam dehiscens, schiston appellatum, docet idem Plin. l. 35. c. 15. qui et schistorum ovorum, meminit l. 29. c. 3. Et quidem in sex lapideis tabulis, e schisto lapide, in cubum adaptatis, mensurarum ac ponderum proportionem priscis usitatam, exhibet in suo Musaeo Athan. Kircherius, uti vidimus supra in voce Quadrantal. Ceterum verbum χίζειν Graeci Rusticae Rei Scriptores de prima ac verna aratione quoque dixêre, uti discimus ex Epigr.
